Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Firmware Engineer to create and integrate firmware IP for SSD products. You will support the product life cycle from inception to obsolescence, ensuring firmware quality, reliability, and performance across the development process.

The role requires 2+ years in embedded systems, experience with firmware/embedded programming, and familiarity with storage interfaces (SATA/SAS/PCIe). NAND experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in the embedded systems development field
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with firmware/embedded programming
• Working experience in storage interfaces such as SATA, SAS, PCIe would be an advantage
• Working experience in NAND would be an advantage

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware IP subsystems for SSDs that meet the technical spec matrix (performance, endurance, capacity, functionality, quality/reliability)
• Develop a firmware unit and functional tests to ensure requirements are met at each integration milestone
• Communicate effectively with Management and cross-functional teams on firmware activities and status
• Foster collaboration and continuous development within the firmware team
