Job summary

Venture International PTE. LTD. is seeking a Principal Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) in Singapore to drive the design and development of advanced mechanical systems.

The role involves leading engineers, engaging with customers to define scopes, and delivering from concept to production in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will lead design of mechanical parts and electro-mechanical subsystems, coordinate prototypes, and collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Masters or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in mechanism or automation design preferred.
• Knowledge of plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.
• Engage with customers to understand the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Provide supervision and guidance to engineers for quality design.
• Design mechanical parts including plastic, sheet metal and rubber components.
• Design electro-mechanical subsystems, micro mechanisms, and transmission systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and suppliers throughout the product cycle.
• Coordinate prototype and pilot run articles construction.
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
• Lead project discussions as needed.
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions for technical problems during development.

We're looking to add a Principal Engineer, R&D (Mechanical) in Singapore. The position is based in our HQ at AngMo Kio.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of state-of-the-art products for global markets, from invention to mass production.
• To engage positively and closely with customers to understand the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Provide supervision and guidance to fellow Engineers for better quality design.
• Perform mechanical parts design, including plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts.
• Perform design of electro-mechanical subsystems, micro mechanism and transmission systems.
• Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the product cycle in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate construction of prototype and pilot run articles.
• Review and evaluate vendors for performance.
• Lead project discussions as and when required.
• Troubleshoot, analyst and provide solutions for technical problems faced during development.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company.

Requirements

• Masters/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in mechanism or automation design are preferred
• Knowledge and design experience in plastic, sheet metal and rubber parts will be advantageous
