PBA Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the end-to-end design, simulation, and integration of customized module solutions for diversified industries such as semiconductor, medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including electrical, motion control, and manufacturing—to translate complex technical requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Singapore. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design, simulation, and integration of customised module solutions for diversified industries, such as semiconductor, medical, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including electrical, motion control, and manufacturing—to translate complex technical requirements into reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective solutions.
Mechanical Design:
Lead the design and development of customized engineering solutions using SolidWorks
Analysis & Simulation:
Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and work with FEA team to optimize structural integrity, vibration control, and dynamic performance
Prototyping & Qualification:
Oversee physical prototyping, assembly, alignment, functional testing, and Design Verification Testing (DVT)
Design for Manufacturability (DFMA):
Collaborate with machining vendors and internal manufacturing teams to select optimal materials, heat treatments, and fabrication processes
Lifecycle & ECO Management:
Drive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), maintain Detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs), and ensure full compliance with ISO standards
Technical Mentorship:
Guide and review the technical output of junior mechanical engineers and CAD designers
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
At least 10 years of working experience in semiconductor equipment or industrial automation
Proficient with mechanical design and drawing management using SolidWorks and PDM
In-depth knowledge of motion control components (linear guides, ball screws, direct-drive motors, encoders, air bearings, pneumatic systems)
Knowledgeable in design and assembly of precision motion modules
Responsible and able to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently
