Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV in Singapore seeks a Principal Engineer to lead end-to-end ATE test hardware design for wafer sort and final test applications. You will own the complete development lifecycle, drive design reviews, SI/PI analysis, and collaborate with global teams to deliver high-performance test solutions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ATE hardware, strong PCB and high-speed digital expertise, and proven leadership in fast-paced semiconductor environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in ATE test hardware design within the semiconductor industry.
• Proven track record delivering complex test hardware in fast-paced new-product development and manufacturing environments.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional projects and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete ATE test hardware development lifecycle from requirements through production support.
• Design and review load boards, probe cards, sockets and related interfaces for wafer sort and final test.
• Lead schematic, stack-up, placement, routing, and design reviews with focus on SI/PI, manufacturability and reliability.
• Guide SI/PI analysis, design simulation, hardware bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure quality, cost and schedule alignment.
• Define and improve test hardware design methodologies, validation strategies, and reusable practices.
