Job summary

CareerStar International Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned operations leader for its kindergarten division in Singapore. You will support the Chairman in planning, management and development of kindergarten operations, ensuring ECDA compliance and high teaching quality.

Responsibilities include developing centre plans, supervising staff, driving enrolment initiatives and maintaining strong parent engagement with a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field is required.
• ECDA qualification/approval is required where applicable.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant ECE experience including operations and management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chairman in planning, management and development of kindergarten operations.
• Develop and implement centre operational plans aligned with objectives and regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day centre operations including admin, enrolment, parent engagement and staff coordination.
• Lead enrolment initiatives and monitor performance through planning and data analysis.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and teaching quality per ECDA requirements.
• Supervise and support teaching/admin staff, including training and performance management.
• Review and improve centre policies and workflows to boost efficiency and service quality.
• Build relationships with parents and stakeholders and handle significant matters.
• Collaborate with Chairman and management on development and business planning.
• Ensure compliance with ECDA requirements, safety, employment laws and relevant legislation.
• Perform other duties related to kindergarten operations as assigned.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Chairman in the overall planning, management and development of kindergarten operations.
• Develop and implement centre operational plans in line with the organisation's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day centre operations, including administration, student enrolment, parent engagement and staff coordination.
• Lead student enrolment initiatives and monitor enrolment performance through operational planning and data analysis.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and teaching quality in accordance with applicable ECDA requirements and standards.
• Supervise and support teaching and administrative staff, including staff training, performance management and professional development.
• Review and improve centre policies, procedures and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and stakeholders, and handle significant operational or parent-related matters.
• Work closely with the Chairman and management team on centre development, operational improvements and business planning.
• Ensure the kindergarten complies with applicable ECDA requirements, workplace safety requirements, employment regulations and other relevant legislation.
• Perform other duties related to kindergarten operations as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant early childhood leadership qualification recognised for the applicable role, where required.
• Candidates should meet the relevant ECDA qualification and approval requirements applicable to the position.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in early childhood education, including experience in preschool or kindergarten operations and management.
• Experience in centre management, staff supervision, curriculum implementation and parent engagement will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Singapore preschool operations and applicable ECDA requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational and operational management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and work effectively with staff, parents and management.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Additional language proficiency relevant to the centre's operational and stakeholder communication needs will be an advantage.
