Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Preschool Principal in Singapore to lead the centre’s day-to-day operations and long-term development. You will oversee enrolment, curriculum quality, staff management and parent engagement to ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment.

You will coach teachers, drive events and learning journeys, and maintain regulatory compliance while collaborating with administrative staff and stakeholders to grow the centre and the community.

Qualifications

• ECDA L2 educator certification required.
• Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL) required.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Preschool Principal to lead the overall management and development of an established preschool in Singapore. The Principal will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the centre, covering enrolment, staff management, curriculum and teaching quality, teacher development, parent engagement, events and centre operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the preschool and ensure the centre operates smoothly, efficiently and in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Establish and maintain appropriate centre procedures, standards and practices
• Work closely with teachers and administrative staff to ensure effective coordination across the centre
• Maintain high standards of care, safety, professionalism and service
• Manage prospective parent enquiries, school visits and enrolment, and conduct centre tours
• Build positive and professional relationships with existing parents and address feedback and concerns appropriately and promptly
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of teachers and centre staff, and manage staff performance, attendance and day-to-day personnel matters
• Oversee the planning, implementation and review of the preschool curriculum and monitor teaching quality through classroom observations and reviews
• Coach and mentor teachers to strengthen their teaching competencies and identify professional development needs
• Plan and coordinate centre events, celebrations, learning journeys and parent engagement activities

About you

• ECDA-certified L2 educator with an Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL)
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Good understanding of EYDF, NEL framework, preschool curriculum, teaching practices and centre operations
• Confident in communicating with parents and handling enrolment enquiries
• Able to coach, guide and develop teachers
• Organised and capable of managing multiple responsibilities and events
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Resourceful, responsible and comfortable taking ownership of centre operations
