Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a capable wine service professional to provide knowledgeable, personalised service and support daily Wine Department operations. You will be expected to recommend wines based on member preferences and occasions, present and serve wine to professional standards, and maintain strong knowledge of the wine list and vintages.

You will coordinate wine orders with Operations and Kitchen, assist with cellar organisation and stock counts, and support wine events and private

Qualifications

• Relevant wine-service or premium hospitality experience.
• Good wine and professional service knowledge.
• Relevant wine qualification or active study preferred.
• Strong service orientation, communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide wine recommendations based on member preferences, menu and occasion.
• Present, open, decant and serve wine to professional standards.
• Maintain good knowledge of the wine list, producers, regions and vintages.
• Develop awareness of regular member preferences.
• Coordinate wine orders with Operations and Kitchen.
• Ensure correct wines, vintages and quantities are served.
• Maintain appropriate glassware and wine-service equipment.
• Assist with cellar organisation, stock rotation, counts and deliveries.
• Support wine events, tastings and private dining.
• Participate actively in wine training and professional development.
