Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a Precious Metal Logistic and Clearing Specialist in Singapore to manage end-to-end precious metals transactions, physical logistics, and clearing activities. The role requires strong operational expertise in a banking environment, with collaboration across front office, risk, legal and technology teams.

You will ensure transaction processing accuracy, robust inventory control and adherence to regulatory requirements while driving process improvements and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of precious metals transactions (validation, confirmation, settlement, position maintenance, exception resolution).
• Ensure transactions are processed within market, counterparty and internal cut-off times.
• Investigate unmatched, failed or incorrectly booked transactions and coordinate timely resolution.
• Coordinate approved physical metal movements with vaults, carriers, counterparties and service providers.
• Validate movement instructions, bar lists, quantities, weights, fineness, locations and supporting documents.
• Maintain complete chain-of-custody and movement records; reconcile inventory with vault and third-party statements.
• Perform reconciliations for clearing arrangements (trade, position, cash, margin, inventory, fees).
• Investigate clearing breaks and coordinate resolution with brokers, front office, risk, finance and technology.
• Monitor settlement obligations, delivery positions, margin requirements and aged exceptions.
• Maintain procedures, control documentation and management information; support audits and regulatory reviews.
• Lead testing and post-deployment monitoring for enhancements; drive automation and process redesign.
• Coach and supervise daily work; manage relationships with stakeholders.
