Job summary

Fortitude Partnership is seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to support customers across the ASEAN region from a work-from-home base in Malaysia or Singapore. The role combines hands-on database experience with clear technical storytelling to explain solutions to buyers.

You will run discovery sessions, deliver product demonstrations, design proofs of concept, and assess architectures to align data security capabilities with customer needs.

We are recruiting a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer for an enterprise data security vendor supporting customers across ASEAN.

The business helps organisations protect sensitive data across applications, databases and AI environments through fine-grained access controls, activity monitoring, masking and tokenisation.

This role suits someone who combines hands-on database experience with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to customers. Bahasa language skills are essential, alongside strong English communication.

The role:

Working closely with the regional sales team, you will help enterprise customers understand their data security challenges and evaluate suitable solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading technical discovery sessions with customers and partners.
• Delivering product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Designing and supporting proofs of concept in customer environments.
• Assessing database architectures, application integrations and data protection requirements.
• Responding to technical questions, RFPs and solution requirements.
• Building relationships with security, infrastructure, application and database teams.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or a customer-facing technical role.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise databases, including SQL, configuration, connectivity, and troubleshooting.
• Bahasa proficiency sufficient to lead technical customer discussions.
• Strong English presentation and communication skills.
• An understanding of enterprise infrastructure and application architectures.
• The ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business benefits.
• A self-directed approach to working remotely and supporting a regional sales team.

Experience with data security, database security, access controls, masking, tokenisation, or cloud platforms would be advantageous.
