Job summary

IDC is hiring a Solution Consultant based in Singapore to design and scope high-impact, client-specific consulting solutions during the pre-sales process. Solution Consultants work with IDC’s sales executives to translate complex client needs into feasible opportunities and tailor custom advisory proposals.

This highly visible, client-facing role requires broad knowledge of hardware, software, services, and telecom spaces, and will involve collaboration with analysts, data teams and delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, market research, or a related field; MBA a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, market research, or technology sales/business development; prior PM or sales-scoping experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of vendors in hardware, software, services, and telecommunications spaces, especially in strategic planning and GTM.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales teams to understand client needs and shape tailored, high-impact proposals during the pre-sales process.
• Validate feasibility with Client Delivery leads and consult with analyst SMEs to ensure each proposal can be delivered.
• Identify internal and external resources needed to fulfill project requirements.
• Develop and price proposals with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and delivery viability.
• Enable a seamless handoff to delivery teams with complete project scope and act as a strategic problem-solving partner.
• Monitor client accounts for future project opportunities to support revenue growth.
