Job summary

IDC is hiring a Solution Consultant based in Singapore to design and scope high-impact, client-specific consulting solutions during the pre-sales process. This is a client-facing role at the intersection of sales, strategy, and delivery, partnering with IDC's sales executives to translate complex client needs into feasible solutions.

You will work with analyst SMEs to ensure proposals are deliverable, price effectively, and enable a smooth handoff to delivery teams while pursuing opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, market research, or a related field; MBA a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, market research, or technology sales/business development; PM or sales-scoping experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vendors in hardware, software, services, and telecommunications and how they engage in strategic planning and GTM.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales teams to understand client needs and shape tailored, high-impact custom research and advisory proposals during the pre-sales process.
• Validate feasibility with Client Delivery leads and consult with analyst SMEs to ensure proposals are deliverable.
• Identify internal and external resources needed to fulfill project requirements.
• Develop and price proposals with clarity, accuracy, and delivery viability.
• Enable a seamless handoff to delivery teams with complete project scope and act as a strategic problem-solving partner through milestones.
• Monitor client accounts for future project, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities to support revenue growth.
