Job summary

Ebb & Flow Group is launching a new pre-opening concept in Dempsey Hill. We are seeking a General Manager to lead the team, drive service standards, and ensure an exceptional guest experience from day one.

You will own the P&L, build the pre-opening team, recruit and train staff, and collaborate with culinary leadership to deliver premium Chinese ingredients and thoughtful hospitality.

Qualifications

• Proven GM/Restaurant Manager in premium concepts (upscale, lifestyle).
• Strong pre-opening experience and ability to build teams and systems from ground up.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L, budgeting, forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations across front-of-house, bar, and service.
• Own outlet financial performance including revenue growth, labour productivity, costs, and profitability.
• Manage the restaurant’s P&L, budgets, forecasting and reporting to maximise efficiency and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef to align kitchen and front-of-house operations.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop staffing plans and optimise labour scheduling.
• Establish and maintain SOPs, service standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Partner with marketing and events teams to support promotions and guest loyalty.
• Lead all pre-opening activities, including recruitment, training, operational setup, service rehearsals, and opening readiness.
