Job summary

The Talent People Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our client’s technology team in Singapore. You will build, maintain, and enhance software systems powering their machines and internal operations, collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities cover backend services, APIs, and system integrations across the SDLC, with opportunities to contribute to PLC programming and automation projects. Strong coding skills and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, or equivalent).
• Hands-on PLC programming experience with Siemens/AB/Mitsubishi/Omron/Beckhoff and able to code.
• Understanding of software development principles and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication, able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications supporting the client's machines and operational systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and system integrations.
• Participate in the full SDLC — design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
• Document software systems, processes, and technical specifications.
