Job summary

Trust Recruit Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a qualified automation engineer to join our team. You will develop high quality software following the SDLC, draft design specs, and implement control system solutions for clients.

The ideal candidate has a diploma/degree in engineering, at least 2 years in automation/semiconductor, and strong PLC/HMI skills (Omron, Mitsubishi, Pro-face). Some travel and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant automation/semiconductor experience.
Senior position offered based on qualification/experience.
Strong PLC and HMI programming, Omron and Mitsubishi PLC, Pro-face HMI.
Experience with Motion Control, Analog, PIDs, Process Control is advantageous.
Knowledge of Modbus, EtherCAT, EIP fieldbus is advantageous.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Able to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
Willing to work after hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to develop a high quality and maintainable software that meets user’s requirement.
Drafting of functional and detailed design specifications.
Based on client requirements, interpret and identify design parameters, ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget to meet project requirements and schedules.
Participate in control system requirement analysis.
Design, create detailed electrical schematics drawings and updating.
Source and select Electrical Components, Preparation, and Issue of BOM.
Software Programming (PLC and HMI), System Implementation, Testing, Debugging.
Maintain detailed documentation.
Coordinate with relevant department to meet customer requirement and keep to project schedules.
Perform basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
Analyze existing software and identify areas for modification and improvement.
Keep to project schedules and resolve software and electrical issues in a timely manner.
Support Remote and On-site troubleshooting at customer’s sites.
