Job summary

PaxOcean in Singapore is seeking a capable Planner/Project Planner to plan and execute trade tasks in shipbuilding and ship repair, ensuring safety, quality and productivity. You will prepare micro schedules, manhour loading, materials take-off and monitor progress while coordinating with foremen and contractors.

Responsibilities include reading technical specs, arranging materials, planning permits to work for marine safety, conducting risk analyses, and ensuring adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in shipbuilding/repair environment preferred.
• Knowledge of permit to work and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand technical specifications; prepare job lists and work schedules.
• Plan materials take-off and manpower planning for yard men and contractors.
• Order materials as per take-off and coordinate with purchasing for timely delivery.
• Prepare permit to work systems and conduct risk analyses before starting work.
• Lead toolbox talks and ensure compliance with safety and processes.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and owner reps to ensure on-schedule completion.
