Job summary

OCBC is seeking a Technology Architecture professional in Singapore to lead end-to-end payment architecture across initiation, processing, settlement, and reporting. You will work with stakeholders to design scalable, secure solutions that meet regulatory and business requirements, while guiding engineering teams through complex design decisions.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in technology solutioning, solution architecture or application architecture, preferably in banking/payments.
At least 3 years hands-on in microservices, Java, Spring Boot, messaging (MQ/Kafka), container platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and databases.
Experience with domestic and cross-border payment rails, real-time payments and high-value payments.
Strong understanding of payment lifecycle from initiation to settlement and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end solution architecture for payment capabilities across initiation, processing, settlement, and reporting.
Design payment solutions meeting business, regulatory, security, resiliency, scalability and performance requirements.
Drive modernization and migration initiatives including architecture definition, data conversion and cutover planning.
Produce architecture artefacts: context diagrams, sequence flows, integration patterns, deployment views, non-functional requirements and architecture decisions.
Define designs with domain-driven design, API-first integration, event-driven architecture and microservices granularity.
Ensure designs meet 24x7 availability, high throughput, low latency, idempotency and observability.
Collaborate with engineering teams, provide hands-on guidance on complex design, performance and production issues.
Share payment domain knowledge and architecture patterns across teams.
