Job summary

OCBC invites you to join the Payments Engineering team as an Intern in Singapore. You will gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering payment solutions that enable secure and scalable transactions within a leading financial institution.

You will learn from experienced engineers, understand enterprise systems, and contribute to initiatives that support millions of transactions while building your software engineering skills and knowledge of the payments landscape.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Undergraduate, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong logical and analytical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• Interest in software engineering, enterprise systems, and system design.
• Eager to learn new technologies and the payments domain.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to challenges.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive, adaptable, and open to learning and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, enhancement, and delivery of payment systems and technology solutions.
• Work alongside senior engineers to understand and contribute to enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
• Participate in system analysis, design discussions, coding, testing, and implementation activities.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support troubleshooting, issue investigation, and resolution activities within the payments ecosystem.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Contribute to project documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned.
