Spruson & Ferguson in Singapore is seeking qualified Patent Attorneys (Trainee to Senior Associate) to join our growing IP practice, partnering with renowned client organisations to protect their innovations in Life Sciences, Engineering, and ICT. The role offers exposure to multiple jurisdictions and a long-term career in a market-leading IP service firm.

You will handle all aspects of patent prosecution, liaise with inventors and corporate clients, and draft, file and prosecute applications in

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in patents and drafting.
• GDIPIM, Singapore PA registration or equivalent (e.g. UK, US, European) – part qualified or qualified.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral).
• Candidates qualified outside Singapore will be considered.

We are currently seeking qualified Patent Attorneys (Trainee to Senior Associate) to join our growing practice in our Singapore office. As a Patent Attorney, you will partner with renowned client organisations to protect their innovations in Life Sciences, Engineering, and/or Information and Communications Technology, grow your patent expertise across multiple jurisdictions, and build a long-term career in the Intellectual Property (IP) industry within a market-leading and award-winning (IP) service firm.

What You Will Do:

• Handling all aspects of the patent prosecution process
• Liaising with inventors and corporate clients
• Drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications in Singapore, Asia and abroad

What You Bring:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in patents and drafting, with some industry and/or post-grad research experience.
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and/or PhD in any of the following fields - Chemistry, Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and/or Communications Engineering
• GDIPIM, Singapore PA registration or equivalent (e.g. UK, US, European) – part qualified or qualified.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
• Candidates who are qualified in regions other than Singapore will also be considered.
