Job summary

EnviroDynamics Solutions Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced engineering professional to troubleshoot optical networks across PoPs, data centers, and long-haul links. You will handle dark fiber maintenance, incident management, and vendor coordination to restore services quickly.

The role requires hands-on DWDM/ROADM experience, fiber transport knowledge, and strong communication with service providers and vendors. Weekend support may be required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2–5 years of related experience or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Strong ability to build relationships internally and externally.
• Solid understanding of fiber optic technologies, including cable types, connectors, optics, and transport technologies.
• Excellent communication to liaise with service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs globally.
• Hands-on knowledge of ROADM systems, coherent transponders, and long-haul optical network operations.
• Familiarity with Layer 0/Layer 1 traffic protection and restoration methods.
• Proficient in operating DWDM devices and using CLI commands.
• Experience in dark fiber testing and light level measurements.
• Good knowledge of networking protocols and general network operations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot optical devices (Ciena 6500, Infinera GX40) at PoPs and data centers.
• Manage dark fiber maintenance and respond to OSP queries.
• Handle daily troubleshooting across software and hardware with multiple vendors.
• Support incident management for hardware failures, power outages, and fiber events.
• Coordinate with smart hands and OEMs for issue resolution and service restoration.
• Collaborate with ISPs and vendors on RMA processing and fiber repairs.
• Conduct OTDR testing and analyze results to troubleshoot fiber issues.
• Monitor long-haul and metro networks and resolve faults promptly.
• Elevate cases with internal teams to minimize downtime and restore services.
• Document procedures, improve workflows, and contribute to monitors, alerts, dashboards, and metrics.
• Manage RMA processes with vendors and ensure proper documentation.
• Work with regional/international teams in optical and network operations; weekend support may be required.
