Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Operations Support Engineer to support enterprise smart systems including IIoT, video and other operational technology systems.

You will work with internal stakeholders, vendors and maintenance partners to ensure systems remain available, secure, compliant and well-maintained while meeting service levels and ICT governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT operations, application/system support or infrastructure operations.
• Experience working with external vendors or maintenance service providers.
• Knowledge of patching, vulnerability management and access management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vendors and maintenance partners to perform operations and maintenance.

• Track security patching and remediation actions to closure.
• Coordinate licences, certificates and renewals to prevent disruptions.

• Monitor EOS/EOL timelines and lifecycle planning.

• Manage user accounts and periodic access reviews.
• Review vendors' maintenance and performance reports against SLAs and KPIs.

Job description

We are seeking an Operations Support Engineer to support the operations, governance and maintenance of enterprise smart systems, including Industrial IoT (IIoT), video and other operational technology systems.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors and maintenance partners to ensure systems remain available, secure, compliant and well-maintained, while meeting established service levels and ICT governance requirements.

• Salary Package: Up to 5,500 (basic) + AWS

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee vendors and maintenance partners in carrying out operations and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with contractual, operational and security requirements.
• Monitor system health and operational activities to maintain system availability, reliability and security.
• Track security patching, vulnerability assessment findings and remediation actions, ensuring issues are followed through to closure.
• Coordinate and track software licences, digital certificates and subscription renewals to prevent service disruptions.
• Review system and application logs to identify potential security, performance and operational anomalies.
• Monitor technology End-of-Support (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) timelines and support system lifecycle and refresh planning.
• Support system risk assessments, risk tracking and maintenance of relevant risk registers and documentation.
• Manage and review user accounts and system access, including periodic access reviews and account hygiene activities.
• Review and audit vendors' monthly maintenance, system performance and service reports against agreed SLAs, KPIs and operational standards.
• Ensure vendors adopt standardised maintenance reports, templates, operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Support change management, including reviewing, coordinating and tracking Change Requests through implementation and closure.
• Coordinate with technical teams and vendors to investigate operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Support system decommissioning, including data retention and disposal requirements, account and access closure, contract closure and documentation.
• Maintain accurate operational records and support governance, audit and compliance activities where required.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in IT operations, application/system support, infrastructure operations or technical operations support.
• Experience working with and managing external vendors or maintenance service providers.
• Good understanding of IT operations and governance areas such as patching, vulnerability management, access management, change management and system lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with SLA/KPI monitoring, operational reporting and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting security compliance, risk assessments, audits or ICT governance requirements would be advantageous.
• Exposure to IoT/IIoT, video management systems, smart systems, infrastructure or operational technology environments would be an advantage.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and follow up on operational and security issues.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across users, technical teams and external vendors.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple operational and governance activities concurrently.
