Job summary

WORLDWIDE LOGISTICS SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an Operations Manager to oversee and optimise daily operations, leading a team of Operations Executives with Customer Service to ensure efficiency and high customer satisfaction.

You will focus on accuracy, process improvements, and effective stakeholder collaboration in a dynamic freight-forwarding environment. The role requires strong leadership, strong communication in Mandarin and English, and hands-on experience in freight forwarding.

Qualifications

• At least an O Level or Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma; maritime qualifications preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to analyse data and generate reports.
• Able to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English for internal and external interactions.
• Demonstrated operations management experience in freight forwarding.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage a team and drive results.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills; priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Operations Executives, providing guidance and training.
• Liaise with local and overseas customers to confirm bookings and address inquiries.
• Oversee issuance of tax invoices and maintain accurate records.
• Resolve B/L issues with customers and carriers for smooth cargo handling.
• Coordinate trucking and services with local vendors for timely operations.
• Manage suppliers and vendors for airfreight and sea freight operations.
• Coordinate cross-trade activities to support Singapore business expansion.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and records kept.
• Support network and agent business with timely quotes and information.
• Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure excellent service.
• Collaborate on process improvements to optimise operational efficiency.
• Maintain attention to detail to minimise errors and maximise accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
