Job summary

RAFFLES SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore is looking for an Operations Executive to support daily cargo operations, liaise with clients and ship-owners on post-fixtures, and ensure timely updates and proper documentation.

The candidate should hold a Diploma with 1–2 years in the marine industry; those with 3–4+ years may be considered for a senior role. Independently managing priorities and working under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder with 1-2 years in marine industry (Dry cargo / ship-owner).
• Candidates with 3-4+ years in Dry cargo operations may be considered for a senior position.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deal with clients and ship-owners on post-fixtures and daily operations follow-up.
• Handle dry cargo loading and discharging operational & document procedures.
• Resolve disputes, negotiate costs and handle claims between clients and ship-owners.
• Have knowledge/experience of shipboard operation, cargo loading and disputes.
• Be familiar with Charter parties, laytime and some trading/legal terms.
• Report to the Head of Operations on all operational activities.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Handle dry cargo loading and discharging operational & document procedures.
• Resolve disputes, negotiate costs and handle claims between clients and ship-owners
• Have knowledge/experience of shipboard operation, cargo loading and disputes
• Have knowledge of different Charter party, laytime and some trading / legal terms.
• Report to the Head of Operations on all operational activities
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Min Diploma holder with 1-2 years of related working experience in marine industry (Dry cargo / Ship-owner).
• Candidates with more than 3-4 years' experience in Dry cargo operations, will be considered for a senior position
• Able to work independently, responsible and manage multiple priorities
• Hardworking and able to work under pressure
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
