Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in dry bulk shipping operations, shipbroking, chartering or a related maritime field.
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate daily post-fixture operations for dry bulk vessels, ensuring smooth execution of charter party agreements.
• Liaise closely with shipowners, charterers, brokers, port agents and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient vessel operations.
• Monitor vessel schedules, positions, loading and discharging operations, and provide timely updates to relevant parties.
• Review and manage shipping documentation, including charter parties, notices of readiness (NOR), statements of facts (SOF), bills of lading and other relevant documents.
• Handle laytime calculations, demurrage and despatch claims, ensuring accuracy and timely settlement.
• Monitor charter party obligations and ensure compliance with agreed contractual terms and conditions.
• Assist in resolving operational issues, disputes and claims arising during voyage execution.
• Maintain accurate operational records, voyage reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal shipbroking teams to ensure effective communication and smooth handover of fixtures.
• Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Executive / Operations Manager to join our dry bulk shipbroking team in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational aspects of dry bulk shipments, ensuring smooth coordination between shipowners, charterers, brokers and other relevant parties throughout the voyage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and coordinate daily post-fixture operations for dry bulk vessels, ensuring smooth execution of charter party agreements.

Job Requirements

1. Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
2. Prior experience in dry bulk shipping operations, shipbroking, chartering or a related maritime field is preferred.
3. Good understanding of dry bulk shipping operations, charter party terms and shipping documentation.
4. Familiarity with laytime calculations, demurrage and despatch claims will be an advantage.
5. Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
6. Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
7. Detail-oriented, responsible and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
