Job summary

NSL OILCHEM WASTE MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on professional to manage daily wastewater treatment operations, supervise shift personnel, plan production, and ensure regulatory compliance with MOM, NEA, SCDF standards.

The role involves process optimization, data monitoring, and cross-department coordination in a fast-paced environment. You will oversee treatment processes, track water chemistry and energy efficiency, and conduct onboarding and upskilling training for operational

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of Chemistry.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in operation of wastewater treatment plant or chemical processing plant.
• Independent, analytical, systematic, inquisitive, and proactive mind for problem solving with good communication.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of wastewater treatment processes including planning and supervising staff.
• Coordinate with Logistics, QC and Treatability for processes and controls; assist Procurement for materials.
• Monitor equipment performance and arrange repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct onboarding and upskilling training for operational staff.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, EHS policy, procedures & practices and MOM, NEA, SCDF regulations.
• Perform energy efficiency analysis for boiler, evaporator, cooling tower, and RO in the wastewater plant.

Education

• Responsible for day-to-day management and operation of various wastewater treatment processes which includes:
  -Production planning
  -Oversee Process Supervisors and shift manpower planning and performance
  -Control and monitor the key operating parameters. Maintain database to update water chemistry parameters and analyze trend and observe the bio reactor performance.
  -Undertake remedial process adjustments, if necessary, after due consultation with Treatability team
  -Manage and account for inventory, usage and consumption of production material and consumables.
  -Overseeing housekeeping
• Co-ordinate with other supporting departments such as:
• Logistics on transportation of wastewater, QC and Treatability team on process methods and controls, Procurement for materials and services requisitions
• Monitor and examine equipment performance to identify defects. Communicate repair and maintenancerequirements / schedule with department heads and Maintenance team. Track andfollow-up repair works related issues closely to minimize equipment downtime.
• Conduct on boarding training and upskilling training for operational staff.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, EHS policy, procedures & practices and regulatory requirements of MOM, NEA, SCDF and other relevant authorities.
• Perform analysis and optimization of operational problems Energy efficiency calculation for boiler / Evaporator / cooling tower / RO in the wastewater Treatment Plant

Requirements
