Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking a technician to support daily operation and upkeep of wastewater treatment and utility systems at our facility.

You will assist with biological sludge handling, periodic chemical testing, and monitor processes to ensure safe operation. The role involves operating boiler and plant equipment, performing routine checks, and supporting maintenance tasks. Candidates with chemical engineering exposure and shift flexibility are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operation and upkeep of wastewater treatment and utility systems.
• Assist in cultivating and maintaining biological sludge used in wastewater treatment.
• Conduct periodic testing of acid, saline and other chemical contents in the wastewater system.
• Monitor wastewater treatment processes to ensure smooth and safe operation.
• Operate and monitor plant utilities, machinery and equipment.
• Assist in operating boilers, pumps and motors.
• Perform routine equipment checks and identify abnormal conditions.
• Support basic troubleshooting and maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance and equipment upkeep programmes.
• Support annual cleaning of water tanks and related systems.
• Follow SOPs, QESH-MS work procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain operational records and support production/utility activities.

Job Requirements

• O-Level, NITEC in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology or equivalent qualification preferred.

• Candidates with relevant process, chemical manufacturing, production or utilities experience are advantageous.

• Experience in Wastewater Treatment (WWT) is highly advantageous.

• Candidates without direct experience may also be considered if they are willing to learn and work rotating shifts.

• Familiarity with ESH / workplace safety requirements is advantageous.

• Boiler certification would be an added advantage.

• Computer literate with basic documentation skills.

• Hands-on, responsible and able to work independently.

• Good team player with good communication skills.

• Must be comfortable working in a chemical manufacturing environment.

• Must be willing to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts after the initial training period.
