Job summary

Express Global, the Singapore branch of the Fratelli Cosulich Group, is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our freight forwarding team. The role requires at least 3 years in logistics operations and a strong customer-service mindset.

You will report to the Operations Manager/Directors, coordinate air and sea shipments, and work closely with carriers, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of freight forwarding and logistics operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of shipping processes (air and sea).
• Experience with cross-trade (ex/to Batam).
• Fluent in English; valid work rights in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily freight forwarding operations across air and sea.
• Coordinate cross-shipments with Batam trade focus.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely shipments.
• Prepare bookings and shipping documents (BLs, customs declarations).
• Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients regarding delivery timelines.
• Resolve operational issues to minimize delays.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to improve client satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal company policies.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes for efficiency and cost savings.

ACTIVITIES

• Manage and oversee daily operations of freight forwarding activities across air and sea freight.
• Handle cross-shipments arrangements, with a specialized focus on ex/to Batam trade routes.
• Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely shipment of goods.
• Prepare and process bookings and shipping documents, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to clients regarding delivery timelines.
• Resolve operational issues and discrepancies efficiently to minimize delays.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to enhance overall client satisfaction.
• Maintain strict compliance with regulatory requirements and internal company policies.
• Assist in optimizing operational processes for higher efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of shipping processes, both air and sea freight.
• Hands-on experience in managing cross-trade business (specifically ex/to Batam trade routes).
• Full proficiency in English.
• Must possess valid work rights to work in Singapore.
