Job summary

POLARIS GENERAL CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned operations leader to oversee a portfolio of construction projects from pre-construction through handover.

You will drive planning, site management, procurement, and contractor coordination to meet timelines and budgets. You will mentor project managers, engineers, and site supervisors, act as the primary liaison with clients and regulators, and champion a safety-first, quality-driven culture across all sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of construction projects from pre-construction to handover, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.
• Lead operational planning and resource allocation across teams and project sites.
• Ensure efficient project delivery through strong site management, construction planning, and contractor coordination.
• Oversee procurement, materials handling, and subcontractor performance.
• Monitor construction progress, resolve on-site challenges, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Lead, coach, and mentor project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to drive performance and accountability.
• Act as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, vendors, and government/regulatory bodies.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships and ensure satisfaction through proactive engagement.
• Ensure adherence to project budgets and financial controls.
• Lead risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for safety, legal, contractual, and financial exposures.
• Review and approve project-related expenditures, claims, and reports.
• Uphold strict compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental policies.
• Champion a safety-first culture across all project sites and operations.
• Implement quality assurance processes and continuous improvement practices.
