Responsibilities

  • Overall Operations Management
  • Plan, manage and oversee the company’s day-to-day construction operations.
  • Ensure all projects are executed efficiently, safely, within approved budgets and according to agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate resources, manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors across multiple projects.
  • Develop project schedules, work programmes and operational plans.
  • Monitor project progress and coordinate with project managers, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Identify operational issues and implement timely solutions to minimise delays and cost overruns.
  • Plan manpower requirements according to project needs.
  • Supervise and coordinate local and foreign workers, site supervisors and technical personnel.
  • Ensure workers are properly deployed, trained and productive.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity and workforce performance.
  • Oversee construction activities at various project sites.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and follow up on outstanding works and defects.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore workplace safety and health requirements.
  • Implement company safety policies and procedures at construction sites.
  • Coordinate with safety personnel to identify workplace hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Ensure workers comply with site safety requirements and relevant regulations.
  • Monitor construction quality and ensure works meet contractual and industry standards.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, rectification and handover activities.
  • Work with engineers, consultants and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Coordinate procurement of construction materials, tools, machinery and equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Monitor material usage, inventory and wastage to control operational costs.
  • Select, coordinate and monitor subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate their performance, workmanship, reliability and adherence to project schedules.
  • Resolve operational and contractual issues where required.
  • Assist management in preparing project budgets and operational cost estimates.
  • Monitor project expenditure and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Ensure resources are utilised efficiently without compromising safety or quality.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, government authorities and other project stakeholders.
  • Attend project meetings and provide operational updates.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and business partners.
  • Support the company’s management in developing new construction projects and business opportunities.
  • Assess operational requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Develop strategies to improve productivity, profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare regular operational and project progress reports for senior management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators relating to productivity, manpower, costs, quality and project schedules.
  • Recommend corrective actions and improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure company operations comply with applicable Singapore construction, employment, workplace safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate relevant licensing, registration, training and certification requirements where applicable, including requirements associated with construction operations.
