EI CORPORATION PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the company’s day-to-day activities, including production, warehouse, procurement, logistics, manpower and project coordination.

You will ensure operations run efficiently, safely and cost-effectively, while meeting project timelines and customer requirements. The role requires strong leadership, process improvement mindset and cross-department collaboration to maintain high standards of quality and productivity

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operations including production, warehouse, procurement, logistics, manpower and project coordination.
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, procurement and project teams to meet schedules and quality targets.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency, productivity and cost control.
  • Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues to minimise delays and disruptions.
  • Ensure operations comply with company policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan manpower resources and assign to departments or projects to optimise productivity.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, stock movements, and documentation for deliveries and returns.
  • Coordinate supplier communication and material purchases to support production timelines.
  • Track project support activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and services to sites.
  • Maintain records and generate regular operational reports to management.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Operation Manager to oversee and manage the company's day-to-day operational activities, including production, warehouse, procurement, logistics, manpower and project coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all operations run efficiently and smoothly, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, productivity and cost control. The candidate will also work closely with management and various departments to ensure that project and customer requirements are met within the agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Overall Operations Management
    • Oversee and manage the company's daily operational activities.
    • Ensure smooth coordination between production, warehouse, procurement, logistics and project teams.
    • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure company operations are carried out according to management's policies and requirements.
    • Resolve operational issues and provide practical solutions to minimise delays and disruptions.
  • 2. Production Coordination
    • Coordinate with the Production Supervisor/Manager to ensure production schedules are achieved.
    • Monitor production progress and ensure products are completed according to project requirements and deadlines.
    • Ensure production resources, manpower and materials are properly planned and allocated.
    • Follow up on production delays, quality issues and material shortages.
    • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth handover of completed products.
  • 3. Warehouse & Inventory Management
    • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, stock movement and delivery of materials.
    • Ensure all incoming materials are properly checked, counted and recorded.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure sufficient materials are available for production.
    • Ensure stock-in and stock-out movements are properly documented.
    • Conduct regular inventory checks and reconciliation.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
    • Minimise material wastage, damage and unnecessary inventory holding.
  • 4. Procurement & Supplier Coordination
    • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Review material requirements based on project and production schedules.
    • Follow up on purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
    • Monitor supplier performance, quality and delivery schedules.
    • Assist management in evaluating and negotiating with suppliers.
    • Ensure materials purchased meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • 5. Logistics & Delivery
    • Coordinate delivery schedules for materials and finished products.
    • Ensure timely delivery to warehouse, production facilities and project sites.
    • Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams.
    • Monitor delivery status and resolve any logistical issues.
    • Ensure proper documentation for deliveries and collection of goods.
  • 6. Project & Site Coordination
    • Coordinate operational requirements for ongoing projects.
    • Liaise with project managers, QS, site teams, production and warehouse personnel.
    • Monitor project-related material and manpower requirements.
    • Ensure materials and finished products are available according to project schedules.
    • Follow up on urgent project requirements and operational issues.
    • Assist management in ensuring projects are supported with the necessary operational resources.
  • 7. Manpower Management
    • Plan and coordinate manpower requirements according to operational needs.
    • Supervise and manage operational staff and workers.
    • Allocate manpower effectively to different departments or projects.
    • Monitor attendance, productivity and work performance.
    • Ensure workers follow company procedures, safety requirements and work instructions.
    • Identify manpower shortages and coordinate recruitment or deployment where necessary.
  • 8. Quality & Safety
    • Ensure operational activities comply with company quality standards.
    • Monitor product and service quality throughout the operational process.
    • Investigate operational complaints, defects and non-conformities.
    • Implement corrective actions where necessary.
    • Ensure employees comply with workplace safety requirements.
    • Promote a safe, clean and organised working environment.
  • 9. Cost & Productivity Control
    • Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
    • Control unnecessary material wastage, overtime and operational expenses.
    • Monitor manpower productivity and resource utilisation.
    • Recommend improvements to reduce operating costs while maintaining quality.
    • Assist management in preparing operational budgets and forecasts where required.
  • 10. Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain proper operational records and documentation.
    • Prepare regular reports on production, inventory, manpower, procurement, logistics and project support.
