Job summary

Arcfra Inc. is seeking a Resident Engineer to provide on-site operational support for enterprise cloud and hyperconverged platforms.

You will work directly with customer IT teams and Arcfra technical staff, handling day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and timely escalation of complex issues in a hands-on, customer-facing role. The role emphasizes scheduled maintenance, incident collection, and adherence to SOPs, change and incident management, with potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Electronics.
• 3-6 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, infrastructure support, data centre operations, NOC operations, or technical support.
• Fresh graduates with strong Linux, networking, virtualization, or data-centre internship experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site day-to-day operational support for AECP environments.
• Perform scheduled health checks, preventive maintenance, platform monitoring, and operational reporting.
• Monitor alerts, capacity utilisation, VM status, storage health, and network connectivity.
• Handle standard operational tasks, including VM lifecycle activities, basic configuration changes, access requests, and routine maintenance.
• Perform initial diagnosis for incidents involving compute, virtualization, storage, network, or system services.
• Collect logs, alerts, configurations, timestamps, and environmental information for incident analysis.
• Escalate complex or high-severity issues to appropriate teams in a timely manner.
• Follow SOPs, change-management, incident-management processes, and customer-site security requirements.
• Maintain accurate incident tickets, shift handovers, health-check reports, change records, and issue updates.
• Support scheduled maintenance windows, standby support, and incident-response activities when required.
