Job summary

Frencken Group is seeking an NPI lead at Frencken Mechatronics to drive new product introductions from kickoff to mass production. You will coordinate internal teams and customers, define scope, timeline, and deliverables, and serve as the technical focal point for projects.

Your responsibilities include DFx feedback, process definition, and creating documentation such as PFMEA, PCP, WI, and production layouts. You will support production setup, testing, and process validation during NPI builds.

Qualifications

• Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from kick-off to mass production readiness.
• Ability to coordinate internal teams and customers to define scope, timeline and deliverables.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on manufacturability and assembly efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI activities from prototype to mass production readiness.

The high-quality precision mechanical parts, machine assemblies, and vacuum systems are assembled in both clean room and non-clean room environments. As a service provider, Frencken Mechatronics also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.Lead and coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from project kick-off, prototype build, pilot run to mass production readiness.Organize and participate in NPI project kick-off meetings with internal teams and customers to define project scope, timeline, and deliverables.Act as the technical focal point for NPI projects between customers and internal cross-functional teams.Provide DFM/DFA feedback to customers during design review to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.Define manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and test procedures for new products.Develop manufacturing documentation including Process Flow (PF), Process Control Plan (PCP), PFMEA, Work Instructions (WI), and production layouts.Establish process parameters, quality control points, and inspection criteria for production.Support production line setup, workstation configuration, and process validation during NPI builds.Perform hands-on assembly and testing of modules during prototype and pilot builds. Monitor build results and identify manufacturing risks, yield impact, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and special tools to support assembly, testing, and production efficiency.Execute production improvement programs focusing on process optimization, cycle time reduction, cost improvement, and quality enhancement.Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for engineering or process-related issues.Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely closure.Support internal, external, and customer audits related to NPI processes and documentation.Able to work in cleanroom environments when required.Willing to travel overseas to support customer builds, product transfers, or supplier technical activities.Perform ad-hoc engineering assignments as assigned by management.Lead build reviews and post‑build retrospectives to drive maturity improvements. implement process capability targets.Skill set:Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Experience in establishing manufacturing processes including process flow development, workstation setup, and production line layout.Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is an advantage.Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.Good understanding of BOM structure and product configuration.Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings with strong understanding of GD&T.Familiarity with manufacturing documentation (PFMEA, PCP, WI, PF) is preferred.Strong communication, coordination, and project management skills.Data & SPC (control charts, capability, Pareto) Issue resolution with structured problem‑solving (e.g., 8D/DMEDI)What do we offer?Frencken is characterized by an informal and collegial atmosphere where every individual is important.
