Job summary

Frencken Mechatronics is seeking an NPI-focused engineer to drive development from prototype to mass production. You will define manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and test procedures for new products, while coordinating cross-functional teams and providing DFM feedback during design reviews.

The role requires hands-on assembly and testing during prototype and pilot builds, with readiness for mass production and process improvements. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing manufacturing processes including process flow development and workstation setup.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings with GD&T.
• Experience with PFMEA, PCP, WI and production layouts.
• Strong communication, coordination and project management skills.
• Hands-on assembly and testing in prototype/pilot builds.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate NPI activities from prototype to mass production readiness.
• Define manufacturing processes, assembly methods and test procedures for new products.
• Develop PF, PCP, PFMEA, WI and production layouts.
• Lead RCA and implement corrective actions for engineering or process issues.
• Support production line setup, workstation configuration and process validation during NPI builds.
• Lead build reviews and post-build retrospectives to drive maturity improvements.
