Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets in accordance with schedules and quality requirements.
• Allocate manpower, equipment, and resources to optimise production output and minimise downtime.
• Prepare duty rosters, assign responsibilities, and authorize overtime based on operational needs.
• Coordinate production across quality, process, maintenance, and logistics to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with relevant departments to resolve challenges promptly.
• Support the Production Manager in planning and implementing new projects, including installation and commissioning of lines and machinery.
• Ensure all production activities comply with quality standards, work instructions, procedures, and customer requirements.
• Identify, document, and report non-conformities related to products and processes.
• Initiate preventive and corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Ensure non-conforming products are segregated and controlled until issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to investigate defects and drive improvements.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate operators and line leaders to meet production and quality goals.
• Maintain discipline, promote teamwork, and foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Monitor performance, conduct appraisals, and provide feedback.
• Identify training needs and coordinate on-the-job training to build a skilled workforce.
• Develop technical capabilities and encourage participation in quality control circle activities.
• Communicate production priorities, instructions, safety requirements, and changes across shifts.
• Identify opportunities to improve methods, equipment utilisation, workflow, and working conditions.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Analyze production data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
• Support equipment upgrades and process enhancements to boost efficiency and capability.
• Ensure the production floor operates safely and in compliance with policies and requirements.
• Enforce safety practices and ensure subordinates comply with regulations.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation across areas.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
