Job summary

The Far East Hospitality Management (S) Pte Ltd, via its Oasia Cluster, seeks a Senior/Night Duty Manager to direct day-to-day Front Office operations and oversee related hotel departments to deliver services that meet established standards.

You will supervise reception, cashier, reservations and guest services, handle VIP arrivals and guest feedback, train front desk staff, manage room inventory and revenue opportunities with Sales, and participate in safety training and shift execution,

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or related field.
• 2–3 years Front Office or supervisory experience in the hotel industry.
• Proficient in Opera PMS or similar hotel management systems.
• Hospitality certifications (e.g., CERT, service excellence, leadership, or operations) are an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Service-oriented with the ability to handle guest feedback and operational issues effectively.
• Well-groomed and professional in appearance and demeanor.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Directs, monitors, and supervises day-to-day activities of all Front Office sections and other operational departments.
• Supervise Front Office sections: reception, cashier, telephone, reservations, and baggage services; monitor staff performance.
• Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to guests; handle guest complaints with tact and diplomacy; assist in check-ins/check-outs.
• Inspect VIP rooms and escorts; inform relevant departments about VIP arrivals; ensure complimentary amenities.
• Check logs, issue keys to authorized personnel, and address inquiries, reservations and complaints.
• Handle security matters and guest conduct issues; evacuate staff and guests during emergencies as required.
• Maintain cash float; authorize rate changes, paid outs, cash advances, and cheque acceptance per procedures.
• Take charge of training reception staff; plan, organize, and conduct on-the-job training.
• Monitor room inventory to maximise occupancy and revenue; collaborate with Sales on group bookings.
• Attend CERT training as required by law and regulations.
