Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Network Engineer to support the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and system services.

The role focuses on first‑level incident response, issue resolution, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors to maintain service availability. You will monitor performance and capacity, perform first‑level troubleshooting of network, DNS, and web servers, and document incidents and resolutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT/CS/Networking.
• Experience in network engineering or IT operations.
• Basic knowledge of networking, Internet protocols, DNS, Linux, and web servers.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies or ITIL practices is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity of network and system services.

Network Engineer

• Remuneration Package: Up to $5,000 + Variable Bonus

Role Overview

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and system services. The role will focus on first-level incident response, issue resolution, and coordination with internal teams and external vendors to maintain service availability and performance

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of network and system services.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of network, DNS, domain, and web server issues based on established procedures.
• Investigate incidents, identify potential causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Manage and maintain DNS records, domain names, name servers, and related configurations.
• Support the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Apache and NGINX web servers.
• Record and document incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions accurately.
• Escalate complex or unresolved incidents to the appropriate technical teams, management, or third-party vendors.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Maintain clear communication on incident status, resolution progress, and service-impacting issues.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, technical support, or IT operations.
• Basic knowledge of networking, Internet protocols, DNS, Linux, and web servers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies or ITIL practices will be an advantage.
