Overview
We are seeking a Regional Media Operations Manager to support key client accounts across APAC markets. This role will act as the operational backbone of the business, ensuring media processes, governance standards, financial accountability, and regional stakeholder alignment are consistently executed across markets.
The successful candidate will partner closely with regional and local teams to drive operational excellence, maintain visibility across market activities, and ensure seamless collaboration between central and local stakeholders.
Account Management and Planning (50%)
- Lead integrated full-funnel media planning across key markets, ensuring alignment with client business objectives (job-to-be-done), and delivering cohesive cross-channel strategies. Familiarity with Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam landscape, including local media platforms, consumer behavior, and regulatory considerations, is preferred but not required.
- Build and maintain trusted client relationships, serving as a strategic advisor and primary point of contact for media planning and performance discussions.
- Proactively identify opportunities for media innovation and continuous improvement through test-and-learn initiatives, measurement frameworks, and emerging platform capabilities.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence internal and client stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop a team of planners, fostering strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and planning excellence.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning across the planning team.
Network Management (50%)
- Working media processes and understanding a media planning landscape.
- Bridging across global, regional and local teams with a foundation of media planning to blend the requirements for planning for across the markets.
- Act as the regional operational lead across multiple APAC markets, ensuring alignment with established media planning, activation, governance, and financial processes – APAC markets including China, Japan, Korea, and India.
- Serve as the key liaison between regional hub teams, local market teams, and global stakeholders to drive effective communication, visibility, and collaboration.
- Provide operational guidance and oversight to markets, ensuring execution adheres to regional standards, timelines, and best practices.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including regional media teams, local account teams, client stakeholders, finance teams, and senior leadership.
- Monitor and track media investment performance, ensuring accountability, accuracy, and transparency across campaigns and markets.
- Manage end-to-end financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, reconciliation, financial tracking, and reporting.
- Drive process excellence by identifying operational efficiencies, standardising workflows, and ensuring compliance with established governance frameworks.
- Track commercial performance, monitor cost efficiencies and savings opportunities, and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Support business reviews by consolidating market updates, operational performance metrics, financial results, and key recommendations.
- Maintain visibility of market activities, proactively escalating risks, dependencies, and operational challenges while recommending solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
- 4–7 years of experience in media operations, media planning, media investment, account management, agency operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end media planning, campaign execution, and media activation processes.
- Experience working within a media agency environment or supporting regional media accounts.
- Sound knowledge of media investment management, budgeting, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regional and local markets in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across diverse teams and cultures.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to interpret operational and financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. Copilot would be an advantage.
