MRT Transit Project Lead

Job summary

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) in Singapore seeks a seasoned project leader to oversee Contractors involved in the construction of new MRT lines and enhancements to existing lines. You will manage stations and tunnel works, ensuring safety, quality, progress and environmental impact are within targets.

You will assist in planning and managing project risks and cashflows, and handle instructions, variations and payments/claims.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering knowledge with familiarity with the local codes and transit construction
• At least 8 years’ experience in large-scale infrastructure projects
• Good appreciation of the constraints and interface between civil and trackwork
• Strong project management and leadership skills with proven track records
• Good communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Team player who is analytical, resourceful and result-oriented
• Experience in construction of Civil Defence shelters and underground MRT stations is advantageous
• Candidates with very good relevant experience may be considered for more senior positions

Responsibilities

• Lead role in managing the Contractors in the construction of new MRT Lines and enhancement to Existing Lines; oversee stations and tunnel works in elevated or underground construction
• Ensure safety, quality, progress and environmental performance of Contractors’ works; assist in planning and managing risks and cashflows, and issue instructions and assess variations/payments/claims
