Job summary

R SYSTEMS CONSULTING SERVICES LIMITED is seeking a Batch Operations Engineer to support BAU and project activities using ActiveBatch, GoAnywhere and Tectia. The role involves deploying and configuring batch jobs, executing and recovering workflows, and collaborating with application and infrastructure teams on batch requirements.

You will optimize operational efficiency, assist in application deployments, and adhere to established processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in batch operation support or equivalent.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Basic operation system knowledge (Windows & Unix).

Responsibilities

• Batch job deployment, configuration updates, execution and recovery.
• Discuss batch solutions with application and infra teams and contribute to requirements.
• Leverage platform capabilities to optimize operation efficiency.
• Support for application deployment.
• Follow established processes and standby during off-hours as per duty roster.
• Examples of 24x7 support: production incidents, deployments, patches, cutovers, and service requests.

Y RESPONSIBILITIES

• Batch Operation Support to BAU operation and project for ActiveBatch, GoAnywhere and Tectia etc (40% to 60%)
• The operation support includes but not limited to below:
  a. Perform batch job deployment
  b. Perform batch job configure update
  c. Perform batch job execution and recovery

• Discuss with application teams and infra teams on batch solution and actively contribute in solution discussion for batch requirement (20% to 30%)

• Engineer to leverage on platform and available capability to optimize operation efficiency (20% to 30%)
• Support application deployment (10% to 20%)
• All the support activities shall strictly follow established process
• The engineer should follow the duty roaster to standby for out-of-office hour support
• Some operation support is 24x7. Below are examples of support after office hours:
  a. If any production incident, the staff shall attend to the incident resolution immediately.
  b. The application deployment to production environment
  c. Platform Patch in all environments
  d. Support for project cutover
  e. Support for important service request upon manager approval

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in batch operation support or equivalent
