Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Microbiologist with 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or laboratory environments to ensure product quality and food safety standards are met.

You will perform microbiological testing, review results, support method development and CAPA management, and collaborate with QC and production teams to drive continuous improvement and compliance with ISO 17025.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of microbiology laboratory experience.
• Experience in food, beverage, flavours & fragrances or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing, method validation, and laboratory best practices.
• Familiar with ISO 17025, GLP, food safety, quality systems, CAPA, and non-conformance investigations.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Review, interpret, and release microbiological test results.
• Support method development, optimization, and validation activities.
• Conduct trend analysis and identify food safety or quality risks.
• Maintain ISO 17025 compliance and laboratory documentation.
• Support audits, accreditation activities, and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate food safety complaints and quality issues.
• Prepare CAPA reports and follow through to closure.
• Collaborate with QC and cross-functional teams on food safety and quality initiatives.

A hands-on Microbiologist with 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or laboratory environments, possessing strong knowledge of microbiological testing, ISO 17025 standards, food safety compliance, quality investigations, CAPA management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Able to work independently while partnering effectively with QC and production teams to ensure product quality and food safety standards are met.
