Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a microbiologist to perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products. You will evaluate results, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with ISO 17025.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, knowledge of method development and validation, and hands-on lab work with SAP and MS Office. You will support CAPA and internal audits as part of the Quality Control team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in microbiology.
• Knowledge of microbiological principles, method development and validation.
• Hands-on microbiological testing and operation of lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
• Evaluate test outcomes against specifications and quality requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure integrity and reliability of results.
• Review and authorize microbiological test results for product release.
• Support development, validation and improvement of analytical methods.
• Analyze laboratory data and quality trends to identify issues and drive improvements.
• Maintain laboratory documentation in compliance with ISO 17025.
• Ensure record management and traceability of all activities.
• Assist in ISO 17025 compliance and technical lab requirements.
• Participate in internal audits, external assessments and accreditation programs.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to address non-conformances.
• Support investigations into food safety incidents and complaints.
• Prepare CAPA reports and monitor follow-up actions.
• Undertake additional responsibilities/projects as assigned.
