Job summary

Ugene Lab, a premier food testing laboratory in Singapore, seeks a microbiology-focused professional to join a team-driven environment. You will perform microbiological testing on diverse samples, contribute to method development, and uphold ISO17025 quality controls.

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and perform microbiological testing of food, Chinese medicine, water, and other samples
• Participate in the implementation of new test methods and new technologies
• Perform quality control checks on media, work environment, and equipment
• Operate robot for lab testing
• Document results in compliance with ISO 17025 certification requirements
• Ensure that high quality standards are maintained at all times in compliance with the company's policies and procedures and ISO17025
• Maintain a clean and orderly lab environment
• Prepare and register samples using the Laboratory Information Management System
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or other Life Science degree
• Ability to understand and follow complex technical instructions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and within a team-oriented environment
• Pays close attention to detail and has strong analytical and organization skills
• Highly motivated individual who acts with integrity
• Able to work 5.5 days per week
