Job summary

Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner (S.E.Asia) Pte Ltd seeks a Resident Technical Officer to supervise Mechanical and Electrical works on a local project in Singapore. The role involves coordinating with the Job Manager, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues on site.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of local project experience, with familiarity to local codes. An ROT registration with IES/ACES is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Resident Technical Officer on local projects.
• Familiar with local codes and regulations.
• Registered ROT with IES/ACES is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues.
• Provide standing supervision as directed by the Client and Consultant team.
• Check construction drawings for discrepancies across disciplines before installation works.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specs and contract requirements.
• Ensure safety requirements and site safety measures are strictly complied with.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to resolve site issues and ensure timely completion.
• Attend site meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning and handover inspections.
• Maintain site records.
• Estimated commencement of work in Mid August 2026.

• Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Client and Consultant team.
• Check through construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same / across disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Ensure all safety requirements and site safety measures are strictly complied with.
• Liaison with consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
• Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning and handing over inspection.
• Maintain site records.
• Estimated commencement of work in Mid August 2026.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
• A registered Resident Technical Officer with IES / ACES would be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Resident Technical Officer on local projects.
• Experience in supervision of Mechanical and Electrical Services installation for local Hospital/Healthcare/Institution/Commercial Developments would be added advantage

• Ability to respond to technical questions
