Job summary

Surbana Jurong in Singapore seeks a Resident Technical Officer (M&E) to supervise and assure on-site construction quality. You will provide standing supervision as required, ensuring installation methods and materials align with approved drawings and specifications.

Coordinate with RE/ RTO and contractors, resolve M&E issues, attend inspections and commissioning, and maintain site records with a focus on safety and tidiness throughout the project.

Qualifications

• ITE/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering is required and registration with IES/ACES as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Minimum 5-8 years of M&E experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Conversant with local construction practices across air-conditioning, electrical, ELV, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services, BMS.
• Strong coordination, analytical and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Consultants/ Professional Engineers (M&E) / Clients in supervision and quality assurance on site.
• Provide standing supervision as required by Consultants / Clients.
• Ensure installation methods and materials comply with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with RE and other disciplines, liaise with contractors and sub-contractors.
• Highlight discrepancies, monitor site progress and feedback to Consultants / Clients.
• Attend site meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning; check as-built drawings.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site; document site records.

Requirements

• ITE/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution and registered with IES / ACES as a Resident Technical Officer
• Minimum 5-8 years of M&E work experience as a Resident Technical Officer
• Conversant in local construction practices in air-conditioning, electrical, ELV, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services, BMS
• Good co-ordination skills
• Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
