Job summary

Culina, a premier purveyor of specialist Epicurean foods, seeks an Assistant Retail Manager for its butchery operations. You will assist the Butchery Manager in daily duties, oversee meat cuts and displays, ensure food safety, manage stock, and lead a team to deliver exceptional service.

Responsibilities include training staff, addressing customer inquiries, supporting promotions, and maintaining accurate records. A hands-on leader with strong safety and culinary knowledge is favored.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of meat cuts and processing.
• Experience in meat cutting and trimming.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Understanding of food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cutting, portioning, labeling, and displaying meat products.
• Monitor stock, place orders, rotate inventory, and conduct stock checks.
• Maintain sanitation, ensure proper storage, and enforce safety standards.
• Advise customers on meat selection and cooking methods; address inquiries and complaints.
• Train, supervise, delegate tasks, and provide feedback to staff.
• Assist in promotions, track sales, and maintain records.
