Job summary

PROFESSIONAL TESTING SERVICES PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a diligent Materials Engineer to translate customer instructions into precise internal work orders and provide technical input for accurate quotations and test scope. You will liaise with customers to clarify requirements and advise on sample preparation, testing methods, and turnaround times.

You will also coordinate scheduling between Workshop and Test Departments and support SOP reviews while contributing to the training of junior staff

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in materials-related field.
Minimum 2 years of lab experience under ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
Strong knowledge of metallic materials and alloy compositions.
Familiarity with welding processes and materials testing.
Solid foundation in materials engineering and analytical testing.
Good communication and relationship-building with teams and customers.
Certifications such as CWI/CSWIP 3.1 and PCN Level 2 are a plus.

Responsibilities

Translate customer instructions into clear internal work instructions aligned with quotations and standards.
Provide technical inputs to Sales Admin for accurate scoping of quotations and work orders.
Clarify test requirements with customers and advise on sample prep and testing times.
Coordinate job scheduling between Workshop and Test Departments for timely readiness.
Support SOP reviews and contribute to junior staff training and workshop improvements.
