Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore is seeking a Materials Science & Engineering professional to support research and laboratory operations. You will conduct literature reviews, assist in materials production and assembly, and help with field trials and evaluations.

You will document procedures, procure supplies, manage inventory, monitor equipment maintenance, perform risk assessments, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards in a compliant laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Materials Science & Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of material properties, processing, fabrication and testing.
• Ability to design and execute experiments and support field trials.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and support experimental research activities.
• Perform materials production, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Assist in field trials, testing, and evaluation activities.
• Document materials processing procedures and experimental findings.
• Source and procure materials, equipment, and laboratory consumables.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and stock records.
• Coordinate and monitor maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety compliance.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean laboratory environment.
