Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Marketing Dealer who combines strong dealing expertise with a flair for marketing and client engagement. This role is ideal for someone who not only thrives in fast-paced financial markets but also enjoys building relationships, driving client acquisition, and promoting investment products and trading services.

As a member of Global Markets Dealing team, you will report to the Dealing Manager and be responsible for trade execution for our clients and other related activities. Your role requires you to be aware and informed of the latest market news, development and company announcements.

The candidate should be familiar with the Global markets and its workings. It may require you to work the US and/or European market trading sessions and will offer very good exposure to the largest trading markets in the world. You will also be required to contribute and offer support to digital content provision which includes but not limited to, marketing writing research reports and conducting webinars.

Additionally you will also be actively involved in projects, processes and platform/system enhancements and their follow-through. You will need to be meticulous in trade executions and not be camera-shy during presentations. Candidates with a flair for writing will also be in good stead. Those who are familiar with algorithm order trading such a VWAP, TWAP, Iceberg, Dagger functions et cetera will be advantageous.

As you will be working in a close knit dealing team, the ability to work harmoniously with others is critical and the candidate needs to be fairly independent.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute equity trades efficiently and in compliance with internal guidelines and market regulations.
• Monitor market movements, identify trading opportunities, and provide timely insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail and institutional clients.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement client outreach campaigns, webinars, and product promotions.
• Generate trading ideas and market commentary for client distribution (e.g., newsletters, social media posts, or client briefings).
• Support business growth by identifying potential clients, presenting trading platforms or investment solutions, and assisting in onboarding.
• Contribute to the firm’s brand presence through thought leadership and proactive client communication.
• Providing support and follow through of new business, projects or enhancement requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in any relevant discipline.
• Preferably with pass in the CMFAS module(s) 1A, 5, 6 and 6A.
• Basic knowledge on stocks analysis will be an advantage (Fundamental, Technical etc.).
• Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable with reaching out to clients through various means (calls, social media, webinars or seminar presentation etc.).
• Able to work night shifts (US/Europe hours - night allowance provided).
• Entry level candidates with keen interest in the financial markets are welcomed to apply as training will be provided.
• Applicants who are pursuing or have passed their CFA studies will be in good standing.
• Proficiency in Python or other programming languages is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Mandarin required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
