Job summary

OneOcean in Singapore invites an Area Sales Manager to lead regional sales efforts in the maritime sector, building a healthy order pipeline and guiding a sales team.

You will oversee customer accounts, forecast opportunities, monitor market activity, and promote OneOcean's learning, fleet operations, compliance, voyage planning, and performance management solutions to clients. Travel across the region will be required to achieve objectives.

Qualifications

• Fluent English spoken and written.
• Several years’ experience in sales roles.
• Knowledge of the maritime environment and training products.
• Strong work ethic.
• Autonomous to fulfil tasks.
• Open to new technology and environment that is in a constant change.
• Strong business focus and mind set, high integrity, structured and good leadership skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Based upon company overall strategy, create tactics and strategies for developing business to achieve the set sales goals.
• Ensure the company has a healthy order backlog.
• Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting including per account (for major clients) approach plans.
• Monitor market (customers and competitors) activity and provide feedback to company leadership team.
• Promote OneOcean product portfolio to existing and prospect customers.
• Guide customers on which steps to take to sign a contract.
• Upselling during customer communication sessions.
• Collect and promote customer and market feedback internally.
• Assist customers with finding the best person to address their problems in a timely manner.
• Monitor tenders, RFPs etc. Manage and take ownership of the submission.
• Oversee regional sales opportunities.
• Monitor the CRM records in the region and ensure there is a plan and actions taken against every sales opportunity.
• Report on team performance, sales plans, and activities.
• Take part in local and international events as a participant, attendee, delegate, or presenter.
