Job summary

Nanyang Technological University Singapore's MESD CoE seeks a Project Manager to lead business development and operations, including industry engagement, funding initiatives, and international collaborations.

You will drive a robust project pipeline in low-carbon shipping and ports, assist in securing research grants and industry-sponsored projects, and coordinate with academia, government, and commercial partners to advance Singapore’s Maritime Singapore hub.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Minimum 8 years in project/programme management, business development, or industry collaboration.
• Experience securing external funding (grants, sponsorships, or service agreements) and managing government-funded programmes.
• Strong understanding of maritime, energy, or low-carbon tech landscape; decarbonisation exposure is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and cross-sector collaboration skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and budgets under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Centre’s business and project development activities, identifying opportunities and building a robust pipeline.
• Engage industry partners, government agencies, research institutions, and external stakeholders to forge strategic partnerships.
• Support development of project concepts, proposals, funding applications, and commercial collaboration arrangements.
• Assist in funding and resource mobilisation for grants, sponsorships, and service agreements.
• Maintain key partner and stakeholder relationships with proactive follow-up on progress and initiatives.
• Support the Centre’s strategic planning, reporting, and project portfolio management.
