Job summary

Pacific Environment seeks a Singapore Shipping Manager to accelerate maritime decarbonization in Singapore. You will lead harbor craft electrification, port decarbonization, and sustainable fuels, reporting to the Singapore Country Director.

The role requires 5+ years in NGO/government advocacy, strong policy analysis skills, and the ability to coordinate with government, industry, and research partners across Asia. Flexible, remote within Singapore with travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in NGO, government, advocacy, research, or related fields.
• Experience in climate/energy policy, shipping, ports, or heavy industry is preferred.
• Proven record of managing campaigns and coalitions.
• Strong written and spoken English; ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
• Experience coordinating with external consultants and events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Singapore decarbonization campaigns, collaborating with regional teams.
• Conduct research on shipping decarbonization policies and harbor craft electrification.
• Develop policy recommendations and craft advocacy materials.
• Monitor policy developments and provide timely updates for planning.
• Build partnerships, identify pilots, and coordinate stakeholder events.
• Draft briefs, reports, presentations, and consultation submissions.
• Coordinate workshops and study tours to advance decarbonization goals.
• Maintain relationships with government agencies, industry, and researchers.
• Collaborate with Pacific Environment teams across Asia and beyond.
• Track progress and contribute to reporting and planning.
